LACURA 22

LACURA 22. Es esa época del año otra vez. La cosecha del lúpulo. Aunque Cataluña no es una gran región productora de lúpulo, hay algunos pequeños y grandes cultivadores. Uno de ellos es Biolupulus, que cultiva lúpulo orgánico de alta calidad. El año pasado elaboramos Lacura utilizando su Chinook y nos encantó esa cerveza, así que hemos elaborado Lacura 2022. Manteniendo la misma cantidad de malta, hemos ajustado ligeramente el lúpulo seco para aumentar la parte de Chinook sobre el Mosaic para acentuar aún más las notas de pino y pomelo. El resultado es una IPA de cuerpo increíblemente suave que tiene una hierba palpable y matices resinosos, pero que hace estallar la fruta al principio.

It’s that time of the year again. Hop harvest! Although Cataluña is not a huge hop growing region, there are some great smalll growers. One of those is Biolupulus who grow top quality organic hops. Last year we brewed Lacura using their Chinook and we really loved that beer so we have brewed Lacura 2022. Keeping the malt bill the same, we have ever so slightly tweaked the dry hop to increase the Chinook portion over the Mosaic to further accentuate the pine and grapefruit notes. What results is a incredibly smooth bodied IPA that has a tangible grassy, resinous undertones but bursts fruit on the front end.
